Krste Asanovic

Co-Founder & Chief Architect

Krste is SiFive’s Chief Architect and a Co-Founder. is Professor Emeritus and a Professor of the Graduate School in the EECS Department at the University of California, Berkeley. He is currently Co-Director of the new Berkeley SLICElab, which is improving specialized computing ecosystems, and is also an Associate Director at the Berkeley Wireless Research Center. He leads the RISC-V open ISA project at Berkeley (since 2010) and co-founded the RISC-V Foundation, which became RISC-V International. He is an ACM Fellow and an IEEE Fellow. Krste received his PhD from UC Berkeley, and a BA in Electrical and Information Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
